THE SIDELINE

Two Nona-area clubs seek FYSA affiliation

Official Inter Nona Soccer Club mark

Two soccer organizations serving the Nona area are quietly approaching an important administrative milestone. Eagle Creek Soccer LLC and Inter Nona Soccer Club appear on the Florida Youth Soccer Association’s list of Region B applicants for its October 25 board meeting.

FYSA says affiliations approved at the meeting take effect immediately. The filing is confirmed; the decision is not. Neither organization should be described as approved unless the association records that outcome.

What affiliation would mean

FYSA distinguishes a club affiliate from an associate affiliate. Its published definition says a club affiliate can register players and coaches, form teams and coordinate competition. Full affiliates may register recreational and competitive players, while recreational affiliates are limited to recreational programming.

The two applicants

Eagle Creek Soccer Academy says it has provided developmental soccer since 2019 and lists its local base at the Eagle Creek clubhouse in Lake Nona. Its current site offers training information, membership plans and a free-trial option.

Inter Nona’s site describes competitive youth programming and lists an Orlando address on Pioneers Way. The organization also promotes team competition and a player pathway, but its public program details should be checked separately before a family makes a registration decision.

What families should watch next

  • The recorded result of the October 25 FYSA board meeting.
  • The affiliation category approved for each organization, if any.
  • Updated registration, team, league, field and fee information from each club.
  • Whether the change creates a materially different option for Lake Nona families.

Nona Soccer will update this story when FYSA publishes the decision.
